چکیده

Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Takotsubo syndrome (TKS) is characterized by the appearance apical reversible dyskinesia in its typical form. Electrocardiogram (ECG) acute phase (<12 from symptom onset) generally shows anterior ST segment elevation. Nonetheless, other atypical forms TKS have been described depending on location dyskinetic segments, such as, mid-ventricular, basal and focal forms. Considering different segments involved these forms, it seems reasonable to consider that changes ECG could be different. Purpose To compare versus mid-ventricular TKS, as was more frequent form our registry. Methods Patients included prospective registry center according Mayo Clinic diagnostic criteria, with first performed less than 12 hours symptoms onset were reviewed. All cardiac left ventriculographies reviewed ensure a correct classification types TKS. Results A total 297 patients local 80 met study inclusion criteria. 56 ECGs compared 24 midventricular There no differences between baseline characteristics both groups, except for frequently triggered physical stressor. Regarding analysis, main difference found serie related ST-segment deviation (Table 1). Bradycardia, Hypotension, and Midventricular Takotsubo Syndrome during Esophagogastroduodenoscopy

The two cases of women in their mid-40s who experienced Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) in the setting of esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), reported by Yu et al. in the January issue of Clinical Endoscopy, are interesting because the patients were premenopausal, had midventricular TTS, were under conscious sedation, and did not appear to be under stress during the procedure. The first patient initiall...

[Transient left midventricular dyskinesia: clinical features of a new variant].

We report five consecutive patients with transient midventricular dyskinesia, a recently described variant of transient apical dyskinesia. It is a syndrome that shares a broad clinical, prognostic and, probably, pathogenetic resemblance to the latter. The patients, the majority of whom were experiencing an episode of emotional or physical stress, were all admitted to an emergency department wit...

ransient Midventricular Ballooning Syndrome

We describe a new variant of transient left ventricular (LV) ballooning in North American Caucasian patients in which only the midventricle is affected. The patients described in this case series initially presented with emotional or physical stress and had similarities to transient apical ballooning syndrome; however, this variant is unique in that the transient ballooning involves the midvent...

Different Pathways Leading to Integrase Inhibitors Resistance

Integrase strand-transfer inhibitors (INSTIs), such as raltegravir (RAL), elvitegravir, or dolutegravir (DTG), are efficient antiretroviral agents used in HIV treatment in order to inhibit retroviral integration. By contrast to RAL treatments leading to well-identified mutation resistance pathways at the integrase level, recent clinical studies report several cases of patients failing DTG treat...
